Manosh Chowdhury has been teaching anthropology at Jahangirnagar University since 1995. He has also taught media studies, Bengali and English literature, philosophy, archeology, news-photography, and architecture at undergraduate levels. He taught visual anthropology at the Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. He was a visiting lecturer at the Hiroshima University and Delhi’s South Asian University. He has been a member of the editorial section at Depart magazine. Besides being a popular speaker, Manosh Chowdhury writes argumentative, subjective, and satirical prose on various topics. He writes short stories, and has published six books over the last two decades. He has acted in several indie films, and has tried his hand at drawing cartoons.
